  • Welcome Adonai Arts Academy!

It is our privilege and joy to announce that Hobson Pike Baptist Church has begun a partnership with Adonai Arts Academy.

Adonai Arts Academy is a nonprofit organization devoted to discipleship and professional training for student artists of all backgrounds, abilities and ages, in order to enhance their gifts and equip them for ministry in the visual and performing arts.

The seeds for Adonai were planted in 2007 with a summer program to provide Christ-centered dance instruction for girls. This first program, God’s Lil’ Princess, was attended by 12 girls. Adonai Dance, a full dance academy, opened in Lebanon, Tenn., in fall 2009 with 23 students. Programs were added, instructors were hired, and growth was steady. In order to expand its reach into all art forms, Adonai International incorporated in 2011. In 2012 they introduced painting as well as a summer program for boys (Royal Knights) and in fall 2013 they started a music program, offering guitar, percussion, piano, and voice instruction. In the fall 2014 Adonai moved into a facility on TN-109, where they were able to offer a wider schedule of art programs. After two years, the Lord called Adonai out of an independent studio, and into church partnership in order to reach further into the community, students of all backgrounds. Today, Adonai International has merged with the Nashville First Church of the Nazarene Arts! Now known as Adonai Arts Academy. The Lord is good!

Adonai provides classical education in the arts for the purpose to worship God. The inspiration of the Holy Spirit and God’s Word form the foundation of our instruction. Our highly trained staff desire to see the gifts and hearts of all students cultivated for Gods purposes. Prayer and scripture are a regular part of class and performance. Our programs include dance, vocals, instruments, drama, and mixed-media art.

We strive to make the arts available to children in our community of all backgrounds and income, by providing financial aid and scholarships to those in need, including certified interpreting for the hearing impaired.
